RVJ is a performance poet who in 2021 found his distinctive style and delivery. He continues to evolve with a ever growing demand for his poetry. This has led to RVJ releasing a number of poetry projects in the form of one poetry album and three poetry EPs with music. He also curates and host multiple poetry events.

The love for fostering a good time in any environment has allowed RVJ to host the type of events that will leave the audience forgetting their troubles if but for a few hours to appreciate the present moment. A moment that they themselves have contributed to in more way than they are initially aware of. He has also started to facilitate workshops again however, this time poetry/creative writing is the basis of these workshops.

Born and raised in Jamaica, his work is influenced by his Jamaican culture. His writing style is deeply rooted in the fascination and love he has for dancehall and reggae music with its expressive and creative format. He often merges this culture with his lived experiences here in the UK to deliver a different perspective through poetry. You can expect witty wordplay, stimulating visualisations sealed with a strong message, all being delivered through the enjoyment of performing.
